Cross Border Threat Screening (CBTS)
Project Title: CBTS – Animal and Plant Disease Epidemiology 101 and 102 Courses
Status: Complete (2021)
Overview: In collaboration with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Cross-Border Threat Screening and Supply Chain Defense (CBTS) and the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases (IIAD) will develop course curriculum covering basic information about animal and plant infectious diseases and disease epidemiology. This course will provide concepts and knowledge needed for field personnel to successfully manage and prevent the United States from exposure to disease and pathogen threats at air, land, and maritime borders. CBTS is a Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology, Center of Excellence (DHS COE) and IIAD is an Emeritus DHS COE.
