Rachel Whisenant Receives Texas A&M AgriLife Research Director’s Award
Rachel Whisenant, Associate Director of the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases (IIAD), was honored with the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Director’s Award at a recognition banquet held January 6, 2026, at the Phillips Event Center in Bryan, Texas.
Whisenant was recognized alongside nine faculty and staff awardees, two Faculty Fellows, a collaborative project team, and a newly named Senior Faculty Fellow.
The Director’s Awards celebrate exceptional achievements that exemplify leadership, collaboration, and service in support of AgriLife Research’s mission and vision. Whisenant’s recognition reflects her continued commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research, fostering partnerships, and supporting high‑impact initiatives aligned with AgriLife Research priorities.
