AgSecure Africa ProgrammeTM
The AgSecure Africa ProgrammeTM is a program sponsored by the USDA-FAS to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in partnership with the Agricultural Research Council, Ondestepoort Veterinary Institute in South Africa. The program aims to promote better laboratory and field biosafety and biosecurity practices for veterinarians and veterinary paraprofessionals throughout four provinces in South Africa. Learn more.
Bench to Shop Program
This program trains scientists on how to take applied and basic research from the research and development phase through commercialization. Sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, the program works with graduate, post-doctoral, and early-career faculty trainees through a blended learning approach of an online course, a three-week experiential workshop, and follow-on project. International Training Curriculums
The Institute and Texas A&M AgriLife Research, in partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service have been working to develop supplemental training materials for veterinarians, diagnosticians, Extension agents, and public health personnel since 2010. The U.S. Departments of Agriculture and State, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency have provided sponsorship of training materials and training programs at IIAD. Learn more.
