Tyler Vogel joined the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases, effective June 1, 2018. Vogel is housed in the Institute, serving the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Veterinary Science Certificate Program (VSCP) in Amarillo. Vogel will help with the implementation of the VSCP that has students in 47 states. He will represent the Amarillo, Lubbock and Fort Stockton districts in the 4-H program and the Amarillo, Lubbock, West Texas and East Texas areas in FFA as well as home school students in the Panhandle. He will also assist with national programming when needed.
Vogel earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He previously worked at the Hearne and New Baden veterinary clinics owned by Drs. Trey and Jennifer Skiles in Hearne.
