Veterinary Science Certificate Program
The Veterinary Science Certificate Program is coordinated through the Institute and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. It offers a sound platform in veterinary science for students who wish to pursue an associate, undergraduate, graduate or professional degree related to the veterinary discipline. The program includes a One Health component that integrates human, animal and environmental health sciences, as well as a laboratory component. It emphasizes the public health and regulatory aspects of zoonotic and transboundary diseases. The program curriculum integrates and includes core sciences, clinical medicine, One Health and laboratory science. This national program addresses a need in the veterinary paraprofessional workforce by providing training toward eventual paraprofessional certification as a Certified Veterinary Assistant.
